NEW YORK-September 2011 tumbalina, an award-winning New York stationery design firm, announced it has received the prestigious American Graphic Design Award (AGDA) for its American Country Awards Retreat Invitation.

American Country Awards, was having its first ever nationally televised awards show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. tumbalina was commissioned by Backstage Creations, the official event planner for the American Country Awards, to create a one-of-a-kind VIP/ Retreat invitation. The invitation had to be stylish, visually showcase the musical awards, and list the sponsors—all in a backdrop of the fabulous Las Vegas location. Using the iconic sign with a guitar visual and adding glitter and rhinestones, tumbalina created an invitation that was unique and worthy of the awards event world premier (well, our favorite artists, Lady Antebellum thought so!)

The American Graphic Design Awards were founded 43 years ago by trade publisher, GDUSA Magazine. This year, a nationwide panel of judges chose winners from over 8,000 design entries. Winners included many of the foremost creative professionals from global design firms, advertising agencies and corporations. Past AGDA winners have included Citigroup, Time Warner, AstraZeneca, Sony, Nike, Eastman Kodak, and Unilever.
