NEW YORK-February, 2009 tumbalina, an award-winning New York stationery design firm,
announced it has received the prestigious American Graphic Design Award (AGDA) for
"excellence in package design 2009" for its Everyday Giftcard Tin.
One of tumbalina's bestselling products, the Everyday Giftcard Tin's innovative package
design features a clear, plastic paint can with metal accents that holds a colorful array of
30 tumbalina gift cards and envelopes in plain view.
"We wanted a package that would be as fun, practical and attractive as our products inside"
said Oak Atkinson, Designer and Founder. "This contemporary clear tin gives customers a
peek at our gift card collection, which is cute, classic, candy-colored... and very appealing!"
The American Graphic Design Awards were founded 43 years ago by trade publisher,
GDUSA Magazine. This year, a nationwide panel of judges chose winners from over 1,000
packaging design entries. Winners included many of the foremost creative professionals
from global design firms, advertising agencies and corporations. Past AGDA winners have
included Citigroup, Time Warner, AstraZeneca, Sony, Nike, Eastman Kodak, and Unilever.
tumbalina cards are available at Borders, Posman Books in Grand Central, NY and over 1,000
fine stationers and boutiques nationwide. For information, log on to tumbalina.com.
